Seahawks sign LB McCoy for one year

03/17/2010 - Kirkland, WA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Seattle Seahawks announced the signing of linebacker Matt McCoy to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

McCoy, 27, spent the last two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2009, McCoy appeared in 12 games and recorded nine tackles.

A former second round pick by Philadelphia in 2005, McCoy has played in 47 career games with Tampa Bay, New Orleans and the Eagles and has 97 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles and two passes defensed. He also has 50 career special teams tackles.
